Dr. Ryan Lewis—the leader of our group— has been an Assistant Professor of Engineering Physics at McMaster University since the fall of 2018. Dr. Lewis obtained his B.Sc. (Physics) from Dalhousie University, and his M.A.Sc. (Engineering Physics) and Ph.D. (Physics) from the University of British Columbia
From 2014–2018 Dr. Lewis was a postdoc and Alexander von Humboldt guest scientist at the Paul Drude Institute for Solid-State Electronics in Berlin, Germany.
Dr. Lewis has coauthored over 40 articles in scientific journals, filed four patent applications and delivered above 20 invited and contributed presentations at international conferences. |

Trevor Smith, PhD StudentTrevor is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Engineering Physics. He received his B.Eng. in Engineering Systems and Computing from the University of Guelph, and M.A.Sc. in Engineering Physics from McMaster University. His current research involves the MOCVD growth of InAs quantum dots for entangled photon emission.

Christopher Natale, PhD StudentChristopher is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Engineering Physics. He received his B.A.Sc. in Engineering Physics from the University of Toronto, and M.A.Sc. in Engineering Physics from McMaster University. His current research involves the growth and properties of quantum dots for lasers.
